A Word From The Founders
The National Kickball Association's (NKA) co-founders are Trips "Crooked
Foot" Jones and Neil "Bubbly Shorts" Kessler and was established in 1998
in Louisville, KY. The NKA this year will be celebrating the 14th Annual
Unofficial Derby Kickball Championship. Every Year the Kickball Championship
is held the Saturday before the Kentucky Derby. What's at stake? The winning
team gets to drink the golden nectar of the gods from the glass-blown
Kickball Cup as well as get their team name engraved in it. From 34 friends
getting together in 1998 the Championship has grown to 38 teams with more
than 400 participants traveling from all over the country.
While the Annual Unofficial Derby Kickball Championship is still the crown jewel of the NKA the NKA has expanded to provide kickball leagues, corporate outings, high school reunions as well as any other services you might like.
